I like this product a lot. It's not something that I use all of the time, but when there is a glare and I'm having a tough time seeing through my bino's, this does the trick. It's made it easier to see on a lot of hunts. Made out of good material as well.
This is my favorite out of all the pyro putty I have tried. I can't tell a huge difference between all of the different styles though. It lights quick, and packs light and efficient. I like it a lot and keep some in my hunting bag at all times.
It's a nice product. Very small, light, and easy to pack and travel with. Ideally you would probably want to just go ahead and buy a bigger size can though. Although it doesn't take too much of this stuff to get a fire going.
This is a great lighter to have with you out in the field. It's an electric lighter, so you do have to keep it charged up. However, it will still light regardless of conditions like wind and rain. It's also small and light, which is always a plus.
This product is good for emergencies. Just to small for a camping trip or backcountry hunt. This is a product that you would just keep in a safety kit or just emergency supply bag. The product works great just to small for my use unless it was emergency.
Very cool lighter. This is not a flame lighter!! This is a plasma lighter that works off an electrical charge. Its fully waterproof and rechargeable. Just make sure you keep a charge on it though. The best thing about this lighter is that you can not blow it out. Its 100% wind resistant!
I have the Summer, Winter & Ultra-Lite varieties. I really can't tell the difference between winter and summer variety. I think the petroleum base product is supposed to stand up to the summer time heat better but I haven't seen any difference. Great product that is very easy to light. This is a must for any camper for safety kit.
This is my fire starter of choice. Waterproof tin case that is easy to fit into any bag or pack. It's easy to pinch off a piece to light as well. Very cool product that I would guess you could get 10 or so fires with. They claim more but I think that would be if you were to dice up the putty into tiny cubes. Just easer to pinch off some and expose the fibers for a fast light.
I saw this PYRO putty on display at a tradeshow. You can not resist yourself to try this stuff. Hard tin can for protection of oil based petroleum putty. Easy to pinch off enough to light. It has very small fibers in the putty that lights fast. I have tried Winter, Summer & Ultra-Lite. They all work great and super fast once you hit it with your lighter. Its also waterproof just in case you leave it out in the rain or drop into the steam. Overall this is a great product to take along on any day trip or extended stay. I would think you could easily get 7 to 10 fires from one can of product.
